Cleaned up the garden and got it ready for the winter. Was able to dig up the potatoes finally, pretty small bounty though. Given I put in about 18 and got out 11 that were bigger than a ping-pong ball. Probably need more looking after, possibly more fertilizer. Over all, pretty disappointing.
Trying my hand at garlic again. Planted 9 Armenian cloves and 6 German Porcelain cloves of garlic. I planted them pretty close to the south edge as I had pretty good luck there before. I figured 15 cloves should last me the year and won't have quite as many braids hanging either. Just need to remember to fertilize them and cut the scape when I see them. I am also going to try and water more than I have. The last couple years have been pretty dry and I haven't been keeping up like I should. Another note, I should have planted much earlier. Found some local instructions that suggest between September 22nd to mid October, which I am cutting too close.
Stacked the tomato racks on the garden. Stored them upright by the fence last winter. Which worked, not sure of the reasoning.
