Started the first of the seeds. Trying a new sets of pots. They are more durable than your typical trays. They of a harder plastic and they have a silicon bottom to them. Got 4 with 36 plugs, filled them with some left over house plant soil.
Started my lettuce, broccoli, kohlrabi, cabbage and onions. The cabbage seeds a bit old so shall see if they pop up or not. Didn't start as many for the lettuce, as I didn't need that much to fill the wine barrels. Hoping to get some broccoli and kohlrabi this year, kind of let some of that go last year.
Onions I started a few seeds from last year. From what I have researched onion seeds don't generally work the next year. I will see if they holds true. Did get a yellow onion and a bunching seed as well. Thinking of waiting on the green onion and plant those direct in March or April.
Over all, it should be a good start and less waste I hope. I plan to pick out extra seedlings hopefully won't need the extra.
