Well I got one plant out of my garden that has been bugging me for a while now. Not sure if I have mentioned it before but I have no idea the name of it. It was a tall almost wood like plant. I keep saying bamboo but it isn't, the stock isn't that tough. The roots bleed a orange color and spread like made under the ground. I dug up the second of two groups that were in my flower garden, yesterday and today and they go deep. Even at about a foot down they keep going. I am still digging up the first bunch that I dug up about a month ago. That plant is pretty resilient and I am sure I will be digging more of it up all summer long. I think as long as I dig pretty deep for the ones that I do find and keep looking for them after rain fall or while mowing, I should be good.
It is suppose to rain for the rest of the week so I am not going to be able to get the rest of the garden weeded yet. I still need to cut back a few of the plants and get rid of any dead plant, which I seem to have at least one. For the most part it is looking pretty good just have the center part to finish up on.
As for planting, well I am going to have to put that off until mid June. I don't like to wait that long, but me and procrastination are at it again. I need to get the garage painted before I start planting in the garden there. Where I dug up the "evil" plant, I am going to plant some corn, sunflowers and maybe some viney vegetables or maybe just some pumpkins. I think I am going try tilling those areas before I plant though to try and break that plant up some more, so that will move the timeline out some more. Though I might just skip that step and just plant, we shall see how it goes.
With any luck I will have a painter by next week and hopefully they will be able to start right away and it will be mostly dry during the process. We shall see how things go.
