Project Week Fall 2011: Day 2

Submitted by wafy on

Well another productive day. I was able to get the last garden torn down and even remove a plant. I removed my Russian Sage bush, it was getting too big for where it was at and it looks like it was ready to sprout in places I didn't want. So I have another one to watch for next spring.

Went up to the garden store and was able to ask some questions on the hardy water lilies. It seems the simplest way to winterize them seem to just stick them in a bucket of water and keep them in a cool spot. So I picked up some tubs that I found fit a couple pots and tomorrow I hope to get them filled up and put in the basement. I have a root cellar in the basement so I am going to store them there. It should stay cool enough and keep the other room I have for some spring time plant starting. I should have some pictures of what I plan to do and some other explanation of what other things I did.

Here are some pictures of the last garden that I torn down.
