Been picking some tomatoes, but not a lot. Though with the heat and the rain it has helped them ripen I think. I pulled the onions a couple days ago and set them out. Though it rained last night so I decided to put them on the work bench to ripen a bit.
I have a few both squash, still waiting on the pumpkin. Next time I plant a vine over there I am going to plant it further back. It is coming in the the lawn and I think it killing the pumpkins. From the looks of it I will have plenty of Spaghetti squash and a few butternut. Just hope for some pumpkins.
The cantaloupe is not growing much. I think one has finally vined out a bit. There isn't any flowers yet either. I think it is because of the rain. The watermelon has taken off though. There is one about a tennis ball sized that hopefully will grow bigger. It has some other flowers so hopefully I will get something with seeds.
Today I planted some beans. Though I think the black beans aren't going to mature enough by the first frost. Though if we have another last frost this year I might get some beans. The green beans have a shorter maturity so I should get a couple harvests from them.
I also planted some peas again and fortified them a bit. I put one where I had the sugar snaps that the rabbits ate and some sugar snaps in a wine barrel. The one in the pond garden I put some fencing around the cage which should keep the rabbits out. Just hope the grow inside the cage. I put a couple cages on the sugar snaps, it should be high enough so the rabbits don't get it. I will see what happens.
