A couple days ago I came home for lunch and there were a group of guys bringing in the sheet rock for the inside. One of the guys asked if I came to help. Thinking they were there to install the sheet rock, I said "I can't, I am not dressed for it". He came back with "Wish I would have thought of that." It made for a chuckle. Turned out they were only there to deliver the sheet rock. I took some pictures later that day which I have below.
Yesterday I strung the last of the conduits that I had installed. I figured it would be the last day I could do it with out crawling through an attic. It turned out that I was right, today the contractor's son came by and sheet rocked the interor. There will be a guy by to tape, mud, texture and paint the inside. I am told by the contractor that the overhead door and opener will hopefully be installed shortly after that. I will then have a garage I will be able to use.
There are a few things that will remain unfinished until spring. The driveway, as mentioned before, won't be paved until spring do to cold weather coming. Which will help it's survivability also. The overhang is another wait as the contractor is still in badish shape and wants to build it. He will also be coming out to frame the windows and the doors, when he is on the mend.
One things that I think might cause some problems in the future is the conduit I put going up to the attic here. I have two flex tubing conduits with solids attached, to make them long enough to be visible up top. I have string attached to both so I can bring things up from outside and down from inside. Kind of a second mini media spot.
These conduits might be a bit of a pain to get to in the attic. One I was able to put a pre-used 90 degree, but it is barely on there because of the roof. The other only has a couple on it to keep it from sliding through the hole. So it might be a challenge to find in the attic and to use.
These two conduits will be a bit easier and more stable. I have 90 degree conduits at the top of both and the roof is high enough where it shouldn't be much of an issue.
